Welcome to Cornell's living and learning communities – places where scholars live, learn, and grow together. You'll find a whole world of intellectual opportunities, exciting adventures, and lasting friendships at Cornell. And where you choose to live is an integral part of that experience.
Our friendly and supportive residences are home to Cornellians from all over the world, and from every walk of life. Each community offers support and convenience, plus plenty of opportunities for personal growth, cultural exploration, and interaction with peers and faculty members. Use the links on this page to learn more about your options. Note that living on campus is not mandatory.
Why live on campus?
And ... the food is amazing. Dining at Cornell is more than just a meal. It's a culinary experience rarely found on a college campus, and one you'll be able share and enjoy with your fellow Cornellians every day. You'll find plenty of variety and convenience with more than 30 dining locations across campus, including 10 All You Care to Eat dining rooms.
Enrollment in a Cornell Dining meal plan is voluntary, except for those students who choose to live in the West Campus House System. Students living in all West Campus Houses are required to enroll in one of the Cornell Dining meal plans designed specifically for the House System.
