Sheldon Court is located next to the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts in Collegetown, one of the most exciting and festive parts of Cornell's campus. Just steps away are popular restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and social gathering spots. One of Cornell's most historic residence halls, Sheldon features beautiful French/Collegiate Gothic architecture and design.
The Collegetown residence halls enjoy close proximity to the intellectual, cultural, and culinary perks of West Campus, while maintaining their own unique character and independence. Special programming and activities abound, offering lots of opportunities for social interaction. One popular tradition is SunFest, an outdoor picnic with live entertainment held every spring in Collegetown.
Sheldon Court rooms do not have air conditioning.
Chaplain of Cornell United Religious Work Rick Blair, Professor & Director of Graduate Studies and Linguistics Molly Diesing, and Professor of History Eric Tagliacozzo serve as the Collegetown area residence halls' Faculty Fellows.
